Jill founded Studio Cropp Architecture in 2011 as a way to continue to engage in her love for designing and the built environment while still balancing a healthy family life. This has evolved into a deep passion for small scale multi-family housing and contributing to the urban fabric with middle housing types.
Jill was born and raised in Portland, and earned her Bachelors of Archtiecture from the University of Oregon. Jill is a licensed architect in Oregon, a Leed accredited professional, and Earth Advantage Sustainable Homes Professional. She has spent 24 years working in architecture on a variety of project types, with the last 14 years focused exclusively on single and multi-family housing.
Jill is a member of the Design Review Advisory Committe for the City of Portland's Bureau of Development services were she uses here expertise in permitting to advise the City on how to better improve their processes and policies.
When she's not working you can catch her crafting, sea kayaking around the Pacific Northwest, or biking around SE Portland where she lives with her family.
